What is Nita Blankie?
I started making these Blankies for my friends about ten years ago, and they have always been a delightful and welcomed gift. My daughter's name, Allyson, is spelled with a 'y' and it's next to impossible to find anything personalized for her. The Blankie was the perfect answer and such a special keepsake.
The Blankies are embroidered with a name and a small design on the fleece side and Minkee or some other type of plush fabric for the backing. Ribbon loops are spaced around the outer edge, giving a baby something to play with or a loop to clip to a stroller so they won't fall off.
Most Blankies are approximately 30" x 30", but as each Blankie is unique, it may vary a few inches either way. You can choose the two colors YOU need for that special gift, perhaps to match the nursery. Happy 4th of July!
We are so very blessed to live in a free country!! Thank you to all the soldiers and their families that fight for our freedoms every day!
