I can't wait to meet baby Emma!!!! I found this little giraffe and thought it would go great with the polka dots I have been using. I think it looks great with the pinks and can't wait to try it in blue!!! Of course, I am still lovin' those polka dots!!
"She makes coverings for her bed ..." Proverbs 31:22What is Nita Blankie?
I started making these Blankies for my friends about ten years ago, and they have always been a delightful and welcomed gift. My daughter's name, Allyson, is spelled with a 'y' and it's next to impossible to find anything personalized for her. The Blankie was the perfect answer and such a special keepsake.
The Blankies are embroidered with a name and a small design on the fleece side and Minkee or some other type of plush fabric for the backing. Ribbon loops are spaced around the outer edge, giving a baby something to play with or a loop to clip to a stroller so they won't fall off.
Most Blankies are approximately 30" x 30", but as each Blankie is unique, it may vary a few inches either way. You can choose the two colors YOU need for that special gift, perhaps to match the nursery. Email me at rdyefam@yahoo.com and I will be happy to work with you to make a very special gift if you 'Nita Blankie'!

Lonesome Pine
These two little "generic" baby blankies are for a sweet lady in Northwest Arkansas that has the cutest quilt shop. It is called Lonesome Pine Quilts and has a great variety of fabrics and quilting supplies along with many other things. My husband is a fan of the shop too - - I am sure it has nothing to do with the antique truck and big screen TV she has in the shop!!
If you want to check out her website it is www.lonesomepinequilts.com - - I can't wait to go back to Arkansas and see all the new fabrics she has!!! Thanks so much Judy for displaying these in your shop!!!

School Days
This wall hanging has been in the "thinking stages" for about two years now. I finally sat down to draw up a pattern and decided to put the pictures in a school bus. Each picture is a kindgergarten picture from our family. Our summer is quickly coming to a close this week, so I thought it was fitting to finally get this project done and hung up!! Looking forward to a great school year!

Gardening for Christ
My grandmother always had a sign above her garden gate that read "Gardening for Christ". This quilt made me think of her beautiful gardens over the years. You never left her house empty handed when it came to veggies. She was still gardening at the age of 95 and when you walked through her garden, you would have a hard time finding any weeds. Since weeding the garden was never one of my favorite chores, I thought I would sew my own seeds where the weeds would never grow!! No watering either with all this hot weather!!!

Girls, girls, girls . . . .
Seems like there have been a lot of girlie blankies lately. Bunches and bunches of pink!!! However, I love how this blue and brown blankie turned out for a special baby girl. The little daisies really added a girlie look with the colors!!! Still loving the polka dots!!!!
